HELIUS AWARDED PATENT FOR SATELLITE DATA SOLUTIONS

SATELLITE 2001 – WASHINGTON – March 28, 2001 – Helius, Inc., the premier technology developer for satellite data solutions, today announced it has been awarded patent number 6,205,473 entitled "Method and Systems for Asymmetric Satellite Communications for Local Area Networks." This patent applies to, but is not limited to, IP multicast routing technology to multiple clients over a local area network, bi-directional electronic satellite communication supporting a variety of return channels, satellite-based Internet applications, satellite-based interactive solutions and other satellite-related applications. The patent was issued on March 20, 2001.

Helius’ intellectual property portfolio not only includes this patent, but other pending patent applications, copyrights to software products and programs, trade and industry secrets and other rights in its proprietary technologies.
