HELIUS AWARDED PATENT FOR SATELLITE DATA SOLUTIONS
Premier Technology Developer Increases its Intellectual Property Portfolio
SATELLITE 2001 WASHINGTON March 28, 2001 Helius,
Inc., the premier technology developer for satellite data solutions, today
announced it has been awarded patent number 6,205,473 entitled "Method
and Systems for Asymmetric Satellite Communications for Local Area Networks."
This patent applies to, but is not limited to, IP multicast routing technology
to multiple clients over a local area network, bi-directional electronic
satellite communication supporting a variety of return channels, satellite-based
Internet applications, satellite-based interactive solutions and other
satellite-related applications. The patent was issued on March 20, 2001.
Helius intellectual property portfolio not only includes this
patent, but other pending patent applications, copyrights to software
products and programs, trade and industry secrets and other rights in
its proprietary technologies. As a technology company with experienced

Helius has been a leader in the satellite IP solutions software arena
since its inception in 1995. To bolster its new patent, Helius previously
filed multiple continuation applications to pursue coverage of additional

date back to March 20, 2001, the original patent award date. "The
