Integrated New Product Enables ‘Side by Side’ Comparison of Televisions

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA —DIGITAL RETAILING EXPO—October 11, 2004—Helius, Inc. the worldwide leader in business class data broadcasting solutions, today announced the integration of the Sencore HDTV998 decoder card as an option on the Helius MediaGate Router™ platform. This solution enables retailers who promote and sell High Definition (HD) monitors and televisions to demonstrate these devices with identical, synchronized content playing on both the HD set and the Standard Definition (SD) set. Retailers can use this powerful point-of-sale tool to promote the sale of HD TV’s.

The combination of the Helius MediaGate Router platform and the Sencore HDTV card gives retailers the ability to display content simultaneously across both High Definition and Standard Definition televisions. The Helius MediaGate Router provides a simple, secure and reliable platform for content delivery, storage, management and playback of rich media content. The Helius MediaGate Router also provides tools such as user-defined play lists, video playback reporting, store traffic and impressions reporting and much more. Utilizing the Helius MediaWrite™ system for content delivery, retailers are able to deliver both generic and customized content securely to their locations worldwide maximizing merchandising investments across their product lines.
